- Egypt
Egypt has always been very popular and is still very popular as we move into the Winter holiday season.
Hot all year round, even in January Egypt can have average day temperatures of 22C!
There’s plenty of great holiday resorts to choose from including the current favourites like Sharm El Sheikh holidays.
With beautiful hotels to choose from including all inclusive options and plenty of historical attractions in the vicinity, Egypt is great value for money.
- Canary Islands
A firm Winter Sun favourite, the Canary Islands offer a great short haul option for Winter Sunshine for UK holidaymakers.
Tenerife, the most popular for many, is the largest of the Canary Islands with temperatures in the 20′s over winter.
Another popular island, you may find that Lanzarote currently offers a cheaper option if you’re watching the budget, as flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife can be higher this time of year.
- Spain
Cheap flights into places such as Alicante have helped keep Benidorm and the Costa’s high on holidaymakers lists.
A revamp of the area has helped attract back tourists to Benidorm in the last few years and it still remains a popular place for a quick week away, especially with the kids for half term holidays.
- Caribbean
A traditional Winter Sun destination, the Caribbean is a great place to relax in the Sunshine on a beautiful sandy beach.
From November onwards there are also lots of festivals and events held throughout the Caribbean Islands, offering a taste of the local culture and an opportunity to have fun whilst on holiday.
November is just outside of the peak tourist season in the Caribbean so holidays are cheaper compared to December and January.
- Turkey
Turkey holidays have been popular all year this year being a country still outside the Eurozone, meaning many holidays here are good value for money still compared to other destinations.
Indeed Turkey and Egypt’s popularity have even led to speculation that the METT area (Morocco, Egypt, Turkey and Tunisia) is fast becoming more popular than the MED.
