Where is Hot in September to Go on Holiday?
Where is hot in September: September is a great month to go away if you want to avoid the heaving crowds of holidaymakers during the peak Summer seasons of July and August.
As a result you can sometimes benefit from reductions in Summer holiday prices as the kids go back to school and the hotels become more popular with couples and young families.
You don’t necessarily have to travel long haul to benefit from hot weather, many places within 4-5 hours flight are still hot and often a more comfortable temperature than scorching August months.
Where to Go in September on Holiday:
Canary Islands Holidays in September:
Being situated so close to Africa benefits the Canary Islands, with temperatures in the mid-20C’s a regular experience during the September months.
In fact the Canaries are a popular destination all year round due to their climate and warm weather well into the Winter season.
The 7 larger islands of Tenerife, Lanzarote, La Palma, Gran Canaria, El Heirro, La Gomera and Fuerteventura all offer the tourist different holiday experiences and cater for every holiday maker's needs.
With only 4 hours flight time and an average rainfall count of only 13mm during September, the Canaries are a popular choice during this month.
As September falls at the end of the season holiday deals can be found during this time, especially if you book late.

Tenerife is the largest of the islands and has breathtaking mountainous regions as well as plenty of holiday resorts to choose from.
Lanzarote, with its black sands and ragged coastline shaped by volcanic activity is sure to captivate many visitors.
Relax on the endless stretches of Fuerteventura’s beaches or sand dunes of Gran Canaria, or explore the rugged and lush landscape of the small island La Palma.
Whichever island you choose you’re sure to enjoy a holiday in September here.
Cyprus Holidays in September:
Cyprus is still hot in September, with average temperatures of 24C and 10 hours of sunshine a day.
Holidaymakers flocking to the popular resorts of Paphos, Coral Bay and Ayia Napa won’t be disappointed.
Rain is scarce here in September and average figures are recorded at 3mm, so the likelihood of getting rain during your holiday is slim.

Ayia Napa is the party capital of the island with a host of bars, clubs and nightlife which carries on until the early hours.
Paphos is a well established favoured resort for UK holidaymakers with many well-kept and luxurious hotels to choose from.
Coral Bay, aimed at families and couples, offers beautiful beaches and a quieter atmosphere than the main area of Paphos, although still near to all of the action.
Aswell as nightlife and beaches Cyprus offers a wealth of charm with traditional mountain villages, historical artefacts and sites to visit.
Pretty harbours, fantastic cafes, restaurants and food and a great choice of shops, not to mention the Cypriot laid-back way of life!
Turkey Holidays in September:
Depending on which part of Turkey you visit temperatures here will still be hot through mid September and sometimes into October.
September generally offers mild warm temperatures in the mid 20C’s especially if you choose to holiday in the South/South East/South west regions.

You may encounter more rainfall than in the peak Summer months, especially towards the end of September/start of October.
Towards the end of September expect prices to start coming down a little for holidays here and also for excursions once in Turkey, compared to the height of Summer.
Cities such as Istanbul become more heavily visited by tourists during September as the temperatures become more bearable so here you may experience an increase in prices compared to a drop in prices at the beach resorts.
If relaxing on a beach is indeed more your style the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts are the best choice for holidays as the Taurus mountains help shelter these areas and create a warm coastal climate during September.
Regions such as Izmir, Antalya, and Alanya along these stretches of coastline are the best bet for warm/hot September temperatures and reduced rainfall.
These regions include popular Turkey holiday resorts such as Side, Lara Beach, Alanya, Antalya, Marmaris, Bodrum, Kusadasi and Fethiye all located along this popular coastline.
