Monastery of St Anthony Hurghada
This is one of the most popular monasteries to visit in the whole of Egypt so it will probably get very busy throughout the day.
This monastery was built by St Anthony’s followers, who was widely considered to be the first monk.
The monastery consists of 5 churches with paintings inside them that date back to as far as the 7th century.
Parts of the monastery have recently been restored to make it more accessible to the public so you can take your time viewing the stunning interior buildings.
Marine Biology Museum Hurghada
Hurghada is most well-known for its diving schools and great opportunities to see coral reefs and some of nature’s underwater friendlies.
However, if you’re not a massive fan of diving, there is a biology museum which shows you all of the wonders beneath the ocean on land!

See many marine species such as turtles, sharks and even a curious animal called a dugong (a large animal which is where the mermaid legend comes from)
Monastery of St Paul's Hurghada
One of the most fascinating places to visit in Hurghada is the monastery of St Pauls.
Although this monastery is not as high profile as some of the other monasteries in the region, this is certainly a place that you should visit.
It features three churches built in and around a single cave and is a very impressive feature.
There are also plenty of wall paintings for you to study as well as church manuscripts to view.
Hurghada is an amazing place to visit for all the amazing weather and friendly locals.
