Los Gigantes is located in the South of Tenerife and is very popular for couples and families all year round.
Although it is a small resort compared to the likes of Los Cristianos and Las Americas it does offer everything you would expect and more of a holiday resort in Tenerife.
Los Gigantes got its name from the surrounding cliffs which have the same name of Los Gigantes.
The cliffs which mark the southern boundary of the Teno mountains are no doubt one of the most impressive sights in Tenerife.
You will find it is a pretty resort with many green areas and is very well kept.
The resort which is small has a certain atmosphere about it which makes you feel calm and relaxed.
Unlike many other resorts there is little chance of the resort becoming larger due to it being closed in on all sides.
Like all the resorts in Tenerife the climate in Los Gigantes is very good providing good weather all year round.
Within the resort you will find many bars and restaurants and a small harbour area.
The prices are very good around the harbour and a meal at sunset will not cost you much making it a ideal place to visit and eat on your holiday.
Towards the cliffs you will also find a small and well sheltered black sand beach which is rarely busy by holidaymakers trying to top up their tan.
Los Gigantes is a very good place to have a holiday in Tenerife.
Away from the main tourist destinations this resort gives you a chance to relax and go at your own pace.
