Not known as a holiday resort and still retaining that authentic fishing village feel, it’s a beautiful place well worth visiting if not holidaying here.

One of the most popular things to do in Arguineguin, if not the whole island, is visit the market on a Tuesday.

Not just any old market but it is actually the busiest and biggest market in the whole of Gran Canaria.

If you are a beach lover then Arguineguin will not disappoint, home to quiet and secluded spots which are perfect for families.

Being a fishing town, boat trips are commonplace and not over commercialised so you get a good trip from a local guide.

There are some restaurants, bars and cafes which are very welcoming, friendly and popular with the locals.

Again, a fishing village, trying the fresh fish in the restaurant’s is a must and prices here are very reasonable.
